      　继承仁山居士弘扬佛学的有欧阳竟无先生，欧阳先生名欧阳渐，他继承扬居士遗志，办支那内学院，门下佛教学者甚众。吕澂（秋逸）、熊十力、王恩洋、梁漱溟 、黄忏华都是他的弟子。

      　在北方与之遥遥相对的有佛学大师韩清净，当时有南欧，北韩之称。受仁山先生影响的还有丁福保、梅光羲、马一浮、聂云台等人。他们不仅是钻研佛学的佛学者，更是学佛者。杨仁山居士捐弃家产创办刻经处，谭嗣同为变法维新而牺牲，都体现了佛陀为众生的菩萨精神。

    Martyr Tan Si-tong

      　在出家人中八指头陀为争取佛教权宜而抗争，他的弟子太虚创办僧众教育，创办佛教物《海潮音》，提倡人间佛教，印光、弘一、虚云、谛闲、圆瑛等各位法师，都在续佛慧命方面做过不少贡献。
